In the cattle section, $1000 will again be offered by the Bangalow Show Society to assist the winners of the junior paraders and their families in competing at the Sydney Royal Easter Show, and a Q&A Session will be held in between beef cattle judging, featuring industry experts.
In the horses, there’s show jumping both days and a full ring program, including campdraft and off the track events. New to the section this year in the paddock pony or horse competition, for those not eligible or confident to compete in open ring events. The competition is open to all ages, with entrants judged on presentation, led horsemanship skills and knowledge of their pony or horse.
There’s plenty of entertainment, with novelty events in the main ring on the Saturday afternoon, including ride-on lawn mower races, rodeo musical chairs, the belt buckle and boot cup, the ute pull and pack, and the the team stockman iron event, which celebrates its 30th anniversary this year.
There’s also poultry and dairy cattle, a bush poets smoko session, rockabilly cowgirl competition, the Rooftop Express arena spectacular under lights, fireworks, and the pavilions.
