THE horror stretch of fatal accidents on Central West roads has continued, with a head-on collision between a sedan and a truck killing two people and leaving another in a critical condition.
About 5.45pm on Monday a 59-year-old man was driving a truck north on The Gipps Way, about 30 kilometres south of Condobolin.
A 21-year-old woman was driving a sedan south, carrying two passengers, when the vehicles collided.
The driver of the truck managed to escape before his vehicle caught alight. He suffered minor injuries and was treated at the scene by NSW Ambulance paramedics.
The driver of the sedan was flown to Westmead Hospital suffering critical injuries while her two passengers, a man and a woman, died at the scene.
The deceased passengers are yet to be identified.
The road was closed for some time while crash investigators were on the scene.
