A group of innovative landholders in the state's north used some country ingenuity to ensure their regular catch ups could comply with social distancing restrictions.
Before new COVID-19 guidelines limited social gatherings to two people, the bordering landholders at Warral came together for a small but compliant gathering using some barbed wire and sheep panels.
A dedicated area in the intersecting corners of their fence line was slashed for the gathering and eight sheep panels ensured there was at least two metres between the groups, plus the barbed wire fence.
"One mate is a retired engineer so he liked the measuring side of things and then we all had our own little camps," one of the landholders told The Land.
"Nothing was exchanged over the fence, just good banter.
"The kids played there happily for three hours."
While one of the bordering landholders was unable to attend, the group still slashed him a pad so as not to be left out.
