The world's largest showing of Speckle Park was on display at the Sydney Royal featured cattle breed with more than 200 entries under the scrutiny of Glen Waldron, Meandarra, Queensland.
There were entries from across NSW, Victoria, Queensland, and South Australia with the senior and grand champion Speckle Park bull and best exhibit, Blue Spark Strikes Twice S12, exhibited by Damien Sotter, Blue Spark Bathurst.
Mr Waldron said the display of Speckle Park cattle has lived up to all the expectations of breeders and enthusiasts.
"There's a lot of depth and quality," he said when finalising his selection of the grand champion bull, "when you get six balls like this out there vying for senior champion ribbon.
He said he'd travelled the world and seen a lot of shows and different breeds.
"It doesn't matter what breed is; these six individual bulls would mix it with the best of any, anywhere in the world.
"The winner of the senior class here and our senior division is a bull you'll appreciate.
"He's got so much natural constitutional power and survivability and durability. It's something that we're all striving to achieve and breed.
The senior and grand female, Black Diamond Rehearsal Dinner R888, was exhibited by Black Diamond Speckle Park stud, Macorna, Victoria.
At any level, Black Diamond's day in the judging ring was spectacular. It was deemed the most successful exhibitor of the breed and the show.
The stud took the sire's progeny sash with calves of Black Diamond 60A Prime Time P192, the dam's progeny sash with calves from Waratah Phofinish L130, and the breeders' group. In five of the female classes, it was placed first. It also showed the winning pair of bulls, not over 20 months.
Mr Myers said some of the key fundamentals that all beef producers strive to improve daily in their beef herds were apparent in this bull.
"He just ticked all those boxes from how he gets his head up, (it's) a big strong sirey head and an outstanding individual. The exhibitor should be commended and very proud of that animal."
