The Great Southern Supreme Merino show saw lots of quality Merinos on display with judges Andy Maclean, James Collins and Rod Kent busy working their way through the various classes.
Supreme exhibit was awarded to the Champion fine wool ram entered and paraded by the Merryville stud, operated by Wal and George Merriman at Boorowa.
The Merriman family were also successful in winning the Roger Birtles March shorn group of five, and the Champion sale ram, winning the Middle View Merino – Sid and Bob Walters Memorial for their ram.
Sean and Judith Ballinger, Waverley Downs stud, Delungra, won the Champion Junior exhibit with their finewool ram.
Garry Cox, Langdene Merinos, Dunedoo, won the August shorn group.
Patrick and Andrew Davis, Demondrille Merinos, Harden capped a great showing exhibiting the Grand Champion ewe.
Measuring 19.5m, she had come through as Junior Champion ewe, Champion March shorn ewe, and Champion March shorn finewool ewe.
The Davis brothers also paraded second in the March shorn group.
Mick Corkhill, Grassy Creek Merinos, Reids Flat, won Champion March shorn superfine ewe along with first in March shorn pair, ram and ewe.
Paul Walton, Wurrook Merinos, Rokewood, Victoria, exhibited Champion August shorn finewool ewe.
