AFTER three days of trials during the Wellington show this weekend the 2017 NSW Yard Dog Championship title was awarded to Sunraysia George, handled by Justin Tombs, Harewood stud, Armidale.
This is the second title won by George.
Trials organiser and coordinator, Tim Woods, said the three days started with novice and maiden classes and an encourage class on Friday, a day prior to the 2017 Wellington show, which hosted both the Central West and the NSW state championship titles where more than 90 dogs competed.
“We had 26 dogs compete in the NSW State championship which was conducted today (Sunday, May 21).
The Central West championship was won by Bill Luff, Coolac, with ‘Flash”.
State championship runner-up was ‘Josh”, handled by Fred Rains, Bowna, with third placing to “Crash” handled by Chris Stapleton.
