This was for a Kaya ram weighing 98 kilograms sold by the Veitch family, Kaya stud, Narrogin, Western Australia, to new stud breeders Katie and Ben Kerin, Kerin Dorpers, “Eden Valley”, Trundle.
In the Dorper section 57 rams averaged $1289 and 49 ewes topped at $1700 to average $463, while 41 White Dorper rams sold to $2600 and averaged $1244 with 26 ewes selling to $600 and averaging $285.
Top White Dorper ram sold by Kaya stud was purchased by Shaelene and Darren Knight, Kyolapark White Dorpers, Marong, Victoria.
Cathy Lee, Arcadius Dorper and White Dorper stud, Currency Creek, South Austrlia, paid the $1700 top price for a Dorper ewe while buying three Dorper and two White Dorper ewes.
