The biggest social event on Dubbo’s calendar, Derby Day once again brought the Dubbo City Turf Club alive with more than 3500 people determined to party and enjoy themselves despite the showers hitting the track on and off throughout the afternoon.

While many added an umbrella to their ensemble, it was the traditional black and white spring fashions that caught the judges eyes.
Renee Lyzun from Young was the judges’ pick for the top prize and was named Dame of the Derby with Kirsty Colliver and Kaali Maher from Dubbo this year’s runner ups.
The title of Filly of the Derby went to Kate Parkes from Wellington with Millie McKinnon, from Brewarrina, a runner up.
Dubbo’s Andrew Hockey was the best dressed gent at Derby Day.
