The Bureau of Meteorology has released its Christmas Day forecast for the state and it’s a mixed bag – from boiling hot out west to a little grey and cool in other places.
Bourke is in for a hot one with 41 degrees forecast and partly cloudy.
Broken Hill is cooler at 32, but still looking at a partly cloudy day.
Moree is looking at some showers and a possible afternoon storm with 38 degrees. The rain won’t be much though with just 0 to 3mm predicted at a 60 per cent chance.
Elsewhere in the North West Slopes and Plains Tamworth is set for a 34 degree day with showers and also the possibility of some afternoon storms.

In the Central West, 35 is forecast for Dubbo. It will also be partly cloudy with a possible show.
In the Central Tablelands things will be a bit cooler with 25 forecast for Orange with showers and a possible afternoon storm, Bathurst will be the same, while Mudgee is looking at 29 with a shower or two and a possible afternoon storm.
In the Hunter Valley Scone is forecast to hit 29 with showers and a possible afternoon storm.
The Riverina is going to be a bit warmer – with 32 forecast for Wagga Wagga, and temperatures in the early 30s forecast for Griffith, Deniliquin and Hay also.
Young is forecast for 30 and partly cloudy, while Cooma is set for a much cooler 22 and a shower or two.
Bega will also be a cool 23 with a shower or two, while Canberra looks set for 24 and a shower or two.
It’ll be warmer in near-by Yass at 27, which is also forecast for possible showers.
On the Mid North Coast Kempsey is looking at 29 with showers and a possible storm, in the Northern Rivers Lismore is looking similar with 33, showers and a possible storm.
In the Illawarra Bowral is forecast for a cold 19 with a shower or two, while Nowra will be a warmer 22.
Sydney is looking at a shower or two and 23, while western Sydney will be warmer with 25 forecast for Penrith.
