Committee president, Suzie Finlay was very pleased with the excitement generated throughout the day as old friends gathered to celebrate the annual event.
“It is a very special day for Holbrook and it is rewarding to have so many horses running,” Mrs Finlay said.
“Despite the threat of rain, many people turned up to enjoy themselves and we had a lot enter into the spirit of the Fashions in the Field.”
It was also noticeable, the entire crowd stopped their socializing to watch the champion mare run in the Queen Elizabeth Stakes which was broadcast on the wide screen.
