Motorists are advised of changed traffic conditions on South West Rocks Rd on July 18-19 due to work on the Kempsey bypass Pacific Highway upgrade. Work will involve installing 10 bridge beams across South West Rocks Rd which will form part of the 3.2 kilometres of bridging over the Macleay River and floodplain. Work will be carried out between 9pm and 5am to minimise disruptions to traffic, weather permitting. During work, local diversions at McKays Lane and traffic control will be in place. Heavy vehicles will not be able to use the diversion and will experience delays of up to 40 minutes and should consider using the Pacific Highway or Old Station Rd as an alternative route. Electronic message signs will be in place around the area to advise motorists of the changed traffic conditions. Motorists are advised to plan their journey, allow extra travel time and obey all signs. For more information contact the Transport Management Centre on 132-701 or visit www.livetraffic.com.
