Organiser Liz Swan, a client-court support officer working with the Moree Domestic Violence Action Team (DVAT), said the event was a huge success.
“The night ran very smoothly,” Ms Swan said.
“I must give special mention to the emcee on the night Graham O’Connor – the night was a huge success because of this guy.”
Band Avenue for Troy kept attendants dancing, and the photo booth was extremely entertaining.
Ms Swan said the special guest speakers were all excellent.
“Doug Crowther (DVAT committee member) spoke briefly about the effect of domestic violence on women and children, while Chris Binge gave a heartfelt speech about growing up in and around domestic violence.”
Raffles were a huge success with local Moree businesses donating items to raffle, including: Moree Post Office, South Moree Butchers, Harvey Norman, Sullivans Newsagency, Just Red Boutique, Assefs Moree, and The Cotton Shop.
Major sponsors of the event included Challenge Community Services, and Tramby and Hanks Gurley.
The ball was a White Ribbon charity event.
