First cross ewes topped at $164 while Merinos sold to a top of $132 at today’s Narromine Special Store Sheep Sale which only yarded 8000 sheep - a big drop from the advertised 14,000 most of which are still at home, not having been able to get onto trucks for the sale.

Merino wethers made $64 while mixed-sex store lambs made $46.
Buyers were mainly restockers from local and Central Tablelands, Braidwood and Yenda.
Top-priced first cross pen of 125 August/September 2013 drop, May shorn and unjoined ewes came from the Gainsford family. “Silverton”, Narromine.
A line of 410 first cross ewes making $162 a head were from the Warren district bred by Tony and Trish Smith of Eumalga Partnership, “Broadwater”, who sold all to Kevin Cauduro, “Carlisle Park”, Yenda, bought as replacements.
The Foran family of “Trelawney”, Narromine gained top Merino price at $132 a head for their pen of 333 2013 drop Merino ewes of Roseville Park blood, February shorn, selling to a first cross lamb producer from Trangie.
