BIDDING reached a top of $6,500 at the Strathleigh Black Simmental and Angus bull sale on Tuesday.
Eighteen of the 39 bulls offered by Alex and Anne Robson were sold for a clearance of 46 per cent and average of $3388.
The first bull in the ring, Strathleigh Fortress H348, made the top price, selling to Bruce and Susan Retchlag, "Bellfello", Barraba.
The 22-month-old bull by Lancaster Fortress F209 from Strathleigh Man D537 weighed 962kg and measured 42 centimetres in scrotal circumference.
The sale's volume buyer was Leon Cummins, "Clarendon", Barraba, who purchased four bulls for $3000 each.
