ABOUT 200 entries entered the show ring at the NSW Dorset Championship in Cowra today, with exhibitor numbers up on last year.

In the Dorset Horn judging K Coble, Kei-Vale, took out champion ram exhibit.
Judge Chris Badcock, Fairbank Poll Dorset Stud, Hagley, Tasmania, said the ram handled himself well and was structurally sound.
When Poll Dorsets entered the ring, Scott Madden,Glenwood Park, Crookwell, won the Lindsay Wright Memorial Novice Ram under 1 1/2 years.
Ram over 1 1/2 years shorn won by Frost family, Hillden, Bannister.
Performance Ram under 1 1/2 years also won by Hillden.
Brien Freebairn Memorial Trophy for woolly ram under 1 1/12 years also taken out by Hillden.
This ram was a full brother to three times supreme champion Hillden 123.
Mr Badcock said the ram had good muscle in the hind quarter, was well fleshed and structurally correct.
The woolly ram class had 15 entries, one of the biggest line-ups seen in recent years.
Ram under 1 1/12 years shorn won by DR and J and DA Rowley, Springwaters Stud, Boorowa.
Pair rams under 1 1/2 years also went to Hilden, as did ram under 1 1/12 years machine shorn.
Pair of rams under 1 1/2 years machine shorn was won by Gordon Close, Closeup Stud, Finley, while milk tooth ram shorn, born after June 1, went to MK and CM Douglas and Sons, Abalone Park, New England.
