That's according to show president John Harris, who said the show was in full swing by Friday with cattle judging, horse events, poultry and art judging all under way.
He said crowd attendance was great and noted the significant increase of horses entering events this year.
"There were 166 stables at the showground and they were overflowing," he said.
Cattle numbers were a highlight, with 70 junior paraders entering beef cattle events with 10 different breeds of cattle exhibited.
The supreme champion male of the show was an Angus bull exhibited by Neville and Mona Kirkman, Nemonaville stud, Walcha.
Ryan Brady, Kempsey, exhibited the supreme female champion with an Angus heifer.
Mr Harris said the dairy cattle section didn't have exceptionally high numbers although they did showcase four breeds, which was a great effort.
Two more standouts were the large poultry section and dog events.
Mr Harris said there were about 200 dogs entered in the show's events and 340 chickens were on display in the poultry shed.
Some sections of the show didn't have large numbers, but made up for that in the standard of what was displayed.
"There weren't a lot of dairy goats... but the standard was very high," Mr Harris said.
The natural produce section in the pavilion has been reinvented in the past few years and showed a great range of local produce.
"It's all locally grown - the section shows the diversity of what can be grown here," Mr Harris said.
"There was some competition of locals wanting to beat one another, but it's all good and healthy competition."
Mr Harris was exceptionally pleased with how the show ran and said there was such an improvement from previous years.
"Right across the board we were pleased with the turnout of the horses, the cattle and the produce," he said.
"We were happy with the response."
