NSW Farmers conservation and resource management committee chairman Mitchell Clapham is eagerly awaiting the final version of the weeds review as the draft contained some promising proposals.

"By and large NSW Farmers was supportive of the draft and the key recommendations have consistent application in control across the landscape, which, to date, has never been achieved.
"The thrust of this report has a nil tenure approach, which means all landholders, regardless of whether it's public or private land will be treated the same and will all need to be compliant."
With regard to fodder regulation changes, Mr Clapham said it was important the industry had a paper trail, particularly in drought.
