Hosted by the Namoi branch of the ICPA, formerly the Burren Junction branch, this year's conference was staged at the Narrabri Golf Club and drew almost 70 delegates and members, said ICPA NSW secretary Lindy Kitto, Tallimba.
The conference dinner for 120 guests was also held at the golf club and featured the presentation of life membership to immediate past president of NSW ICPA, David Cameron, Rowena, Namoi branch.
Lindy said Lucinda Stump, Walgett, gave a light-hearted presentation about the trials of getting children to school during times of flood, which involved a quad bike, dingy and a light plane ride just to reach the local school, and then for the return home.
Conference speakers included Charles Sturt University's research professor of agriculture Emeritus Professor Jim Pratley, and Gonski panellist Kathryn Greiner.
