His parents Matt and Kate Spry take care of the northern NSW breeding and marketing of Spry's Shorthorns from their property, "Hillcrest", near Tamworth, where they hold an on-property stud sale in August.
Matt Spry said they were committed to breeding and supplying high quality cattle that met their client's production demands and specifications.
"Looking forward, our vision has not wavered," he said.
"The Shorthorn breed has been extremely kind to our family over the years and we are humbled by the support of our wonderful clients."
Mr Spry said the Shorthorn's ability to suit a diverse range of markets and environments is second to none, coupled with their crossbreeding suitability have proved to be real strengths of the breed.
Mr Spry said their sons, Lachlan, 10, and Angus, 4, loved and showed great interest in Shorthorn cattle.
"They enjoy all aspects and involvement on-farm," he said.
Eden Park Shorthorn stud (formerly Matt's stud as a child) has been passed on to Lachlan and Angus, and in recent years they have enjoyed some great success in the show ring in their own right.
In 2001, Matt and Kate Spry sold Eden Park Red Rattler (from donor cow Sprys Miss Tritan Q4) for $60,000 - a breed record at the time.
