IT may seem an unusual group to be traipsing through Northern Rivers nut plantations but there is certainly good reason behind farm visits planned for the next three days.

That is to spread the message about how good Aussie macas are to more than two million Koreans.
The Australian Macadamia Society, based in Lismore, is hosting five Korean bloggers on a tour of Australia’s largest macadamia growing region.
They will hit farms, a processing company, farmers markets, the Macadamia Castle tourist attraction near Ballina and a range of other tourist operations.
They will also get to enjoy delicious, specially prepared macadamia dishes at local restaurants and be pampered with macadamia beauty products.
The bloggers will share their Aussie macadamia experience with the millions who visit their blogs each month.
Most have never seen a macadamia tree before so the electronic copy should be very interesting.
The tour is part of the AMS’s international marketing program, which has identified Korea as one of its priority 'new' markets, launching its first major promotional campaign there last year.
