1- Nosh on the Namoi, Narrabri
March 29: IF you’ve worked up an appetite this week, head to Narrabri for Nosh on the Namoi.
This annual food and wine festival offers a taste of some of the region’s best produce.
You can also meet chef Chris Badenoch, best-known as the guy who cooked a whole pig’s head on the original series of Masterchef and for his popular Melbourne restaurant, Josie Bones, who will be demonstrating how to cook a spit roast.
Bring the kids and get them potting up herbs with garden guru Costa Georgiadis.
The action kicks off on the Riverside Lawn on the banks of the Namoi River from 10.30am.

2 – Wagga Wagga Food and Wine Festival
March 29: FOODIES will also be flocking to Wagga Wagga this weekend for the town’s annual food and wine festival.
Get a taste for the region’s produce with more than 100 wines and 200 dishes on offer.
There’s also plenty of entertainment on the menu including 2013 Toyota Star Maker finalist Nathan Lamont.
The action kicks off at noon in the Wagga Civic Theatre Gardens.
Entry is $15 for adults and free for children under 18. Head along and help raise funds for the Amie St Clair Melanoma Trust.

3 – Mendooran Agricultural Show
March 28-29: THE Mendooran Annual Agricultural Show will feature equestrian events, pavilions, sheep and cattle, shearing display, tractor pull and novelty events for the adults and children including Iran Man or Woman and a tug-o-war.
At the end of the show you can gather around the bar and catch up with old mates, family and friends.
The show will be open from 6am to 10pm.

4 – Uralla Lantern Parade
March 29: URALLA will light up for Earth Hour this Saturday with its annual parade of candle-lit lanterns.
Enjoy the magic as the lantern parade moves down Queen Street to Alma Park for the finale.
You can even buy a lantern – on sale in limited numbers from 4.30pm to 6pm at Uralla Central School - and join in the parade.
