A much smaller yarding than normal for this event of 1248 head averaged $552 and topped at $760 for a pen of weaned European-Union accredited Charolais steers from Ken and Michael Somerville’s “Girraween” at Tabulam.
Steers sold from 180 to 205c/kg.
The sale serves as Day Two of the big three-day George and Fuhrmann autumn weaner and grower steer sale, with 1800 head lined up for today’s Bos Indicus Breeds Sale amid very wet conditions.
