Anthony Harris was recently appointed member services officer to work with farmer shareholders to help them produce more beef from their land and reduce supply chain costs.
Mr Harris said the co-op should be "more than just a business" to its members.
He said early responses from a producer survey suggested they wanted to feel engaged and to better understand big decisions made by co-op management.
With drought and disappointing cattle prices having a big impact on members' businesses, the NCMC also has joined forces with the Casino Corps of The Salvation Army conducting farm visits aimed at building farmer support networks and providing links to further help, if needed.
Mr Harris and Captain David Cook are pictured discussing the beef property visits.
