Held adjacent to its famous Morton Bay figtree at its Newmarket Stables complex, the Inglis sale consists of 550 catalogued lots - its first entry being a colt by champion US sire Street Cry, and is the first foal of Faint Perfume, champion Australian three-year-old filly of 2009-10.
A Darley stud shuttler, Street Cry is also represented with another youngster who is "sure to make a bucketful of cash" and is the first and only foal of Typhoon Tracy, a champion racemare who tragically lost her life soon after foaling her first foal colt.
By Red Ransom, Typhoon Tracy was Australian Horse Of The Year 2009-10 winning 11 races including six Group One events.
The colt is to be offered by Vinery stud, Scone.
The catalogue offers progeny from another 28 Group One winners including Gold Edition, Absolute Glam, and Rostova, the latter yearling is a filly by champion sire More Than Ready.
Outstanding gallopers and current Group One-winning stars including Shamus Award and Zoustar are both familiar names and Easter Yearling Sale graduates.
Another is two-year-old filly Mossfun who was a 2013 Easter Session Two yearling graduate and after winning the Australian Turf Club Silver Slipper Stakes-G2 is among the top fancies for the $3.5 million Golden Slipper Stakes-G1 on April 5.
There is a Magic Albert half-brother to Mossfun to be offered at the sale from Fairview Park stud, Grose Wold.
First Australian-bred progeny by sires includes Australian breds Hinchinbrook and Rothesay (by Fastnet Rock), Starspangledbanner (Choisir), Star Witness (Starcraft), and Shocking (Street Cry); and US-bred Congrats (A P Indy), Great Britain breds Makfi (Dubawi) and Showcasing (Oasis Dream), and Irish-bred Rip Van Winkle (Galileo).
The Easter yearling catalogue will feature progeny by 62 different sires, Fastnet Rock the biggest representation with 55 yearlings listed, while More Than Ready has 41, Redoute's Choice 36, High Chaparral 33, and Exceed And Excel and the prematurely deceased Northern Meteor with 26 each.
