It was a jam-packed final few days for the event, with the Toyota Star Maker grand final and the 2014 Country Music Association of Australia (CMAA) Golden Guitar Awards held the Friday night and Saturday night respectively, while plenty of local venues hosted gigs day and night and more than 600 buskers entertained the crowds up and down Peel Street.
Country music's night of nights added four Goldern Guitars to Lee Kernaghan's collection, three of which were for his song "Flying with the King", his tribute to country music legend Slim Dusty.
Luke O'Shea and Drew McAlister also collected awards for the song they co-wrote and recorded by Luke - "Lady of the Land", a tribute to Slim's widow and fellow country music star, Joy McKean.
Making a come back to the stage after a hiatus, Sara Storer won three Golden Guitars at this year's awards ceremony, including the coveted Album of the Year.
