It's part of a series of monthly mental health forums initiated by The Land, the Rural Adversity Mental Health Program and NSW Farmers.
The Land's editor Sally White said the forums gave readers access to a panel of mental health professionals without having to travel long distances and allowed them to ask questions on sensitive topics like post-natal depression.
Panelists for the May forum will include:
- Chris Hunt, the parenting, perinatal and infant care in mental health clinical co-ordinator with the Western NSW Local Health District (LHD);
- Dr Beverley Turner, a perinatal and infant mental health psychiatrist;
- Dr Nicole Highet from BeyondBlue's post-natal depression program, and
- Bob Davidson, an expert in perinatal mental health with the Western NSW LHD based in Orange.
Readers can ask questions on the day and beforehand on The Land's website. A transcript of the forum will also be posted on the website.
