DrumMUSTER is a national program that has been set up for the collection and recycling of empty, cleaned, non returnable crop production and on-farm animal health chemical containers.
The aim is to take the container materials out of the waste stream and reuse the plastic and steel through recycling - the products are recycled into everyday items such as street signs, irrigation piping, plant stakes and outdoor furniture.
DrumMUSTER is holding a presentation at the Moree Showground on Friday, April 4, starting at 4pm, to recognise the effort of the Moree Plains Shire Council in becoming the first region to reach one million containers.

Hodgkinson's call:
Deputy Premier Andrew Stoner said it is up to Primary Industries Minister Katrina Hodgkinson whether or not she runs for the new seat of Cootamundra in the 2015 election.
"Katrina was of the mind that Goulburn was her natural fit...since two thirds of her old seat of Burrinjuck was within the new boundaries of Goulburn (after the electoral boundaries were redrawn)," Mr Stoner said.
"It is her decision now whether she changes her mind on that and runs in Cootamundra."
Mr Stoner said negotiations with the Liberal Party about this issue were ongoing, with Liberal MP Pru Goward the incumbent in the seat of Goulburn.
