Prices increased for back-fatters by five cents a kilogram, according to V.C. Reid and Sons agent, Scott Reid, Forbes.
"It was a firm result for pork and bacon pigs in the yarding of 1009 head, double the normal yarding," he said.
"Pork and baconers sold up to $250 a head.
"However lighter, younger pigs and suckers were a fraction cheaper, but there were a fair few of them about at this sale."
Mr Reid said Chinese New Year could have been behind the demand.
"The result was very good considering a near doubling in the yarding this sale," he said.
Among the venders was Donna Kopp, "Owendale" Peak Hill, who offered seven-week-old weaners while neighbours, the Stanford family, "Linda Vale", penned some pork and bacon types.
Forbes vendor, Tony West of Westfarm piggery, "Bellevue", Young, sold 50 head of 14 to 16 weeks of age.
