Today Colliers International announced the abattoir, which was purchased by Crown State in 2014, was for sale by expressions of interest.
Since purchasing the site Crown State had carried out upgrades and in late 2015 began exporting beef and sheep to the Middle East and South East Asia.
The owners are selling to concentrate their beef and sheep operations at “Faversham”, Merriwa and Mobla Station, Binnaway.
The abattoir, 35 kilometres south-east of Coonabarabran, offers the opportunity for custom processing or a vertically integrated operation under the export licence or domestic capacity.
