Held annually at a purpose-built site six kilometres west of Gunnedah, the field day site can cater for more than 100,000 visitors and more than 3000 companies.
The event runs on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday, August 16 to 18.
It is open to the public from 9am to 5pm across the first two days and 9am to 4pm on the final day.
The site is about 440 kilometres from Sydney, or a five-hour drive, and 7.5 hours from Brisbane, 3.5 hours from Newcastle, 2.5 hours from Dubbo, and just 50 minutes from Tamworth.
AgQuip was first held in 1973 at the Gunnedah Racecourse and attracted 69 participants and 30,000 visitors.
Rapid growth of the event in the 1970s raised the need for a larger site and in 1977 the field day was moved to its current site.
