Last night, the Saving Wee Waa Facebook page shared a short clip of a video highlighting how the proposed review’s plan could affect the rural town.
The Saving Wee Waa group claims the MDBA’s current proposed water recovery regime could take up to 23,000 megalitres of irrigation water from farms in and around Wee Waa.
It has been predicted by the group that this decrease in water allocation would cause the loss of 70 full time jobs and $38 million from the regional economy annually.
Over the 19 hours the video has been on Facebook, it’s received 505 likes and nearly 400 shares.
