Mr McLean was very impressed with the outstanding wool quality, when commenting upon their purchase of the $44,000 young sire..
“His wool has length and softness, with a well defined crimp on a good skin,” Mr McLean said.
Mr Falkiner agreed and said he thought the ram had the “best wool in the shed.”
“There are a lot of big Poll Sheep, but few with the high quality wool,” he said.
Mr McLean said coming to Poll Boonoke was crucial to boosting the Haddon Rig Poll stud.
“We think Poll Boonoke is at the top so decided to make a major investment to give our stud a lift,” he said.
