The first-time Elvis Festival attendees said the enthusiasm and hospitality from locals had made it easy to slip into character.
“I certainly wasn’t a tragic, but when I put on my wig and big sunnies people down the street would call out to you – ‘Hey! Priscilla!”, Ms Cuerel said.

Held over five days from Wednesday, January 11 to Sunday, January 15, the 25th annual Parkes Elvis Festival features more than 120 free and ticketed events, shows, concerts and competitions.
