Agents said competition was strong which resulted in very strong prices for the top quality offering with steers topping at $1420 and heifers $1210.
Champion pen of steers were a draft of 34 July/August 2016 drop of Karoo and Gilmandyke blood weighing an average 317 kilograms bred by Tuxworth Pastoral Company, “Red Hill”, Orange and selling for $1360 each.
Champion pen of heifers were a draft of 20 July/August 2016 drop of Karoo and Glengowan blood bred by the Noon family, “Pony Dale”, Wallerawang, weighing 303kg and selling at $1210 to to David and Ann Shand, “Te Arona”, Arkell, near Bathurst.
