Bred and shown by regular exhibitors, the Thompson family of Bayview stud, Yorketown, the red-little white Usher, a son of Ronelle Park Hurricane H242 (P) (roan) from the Marrington Boxer B83 sired Bayview Fancy E68 (P) (red), had won the Division 3 championship weighing 1010 kilograms just 12 days off its second birthday.

A total of 117 bulls paraded in 12 classes before Queensland Santa Gertrudis stud breeder, David Greenup of Rosevale stud, Jandowae, who said he was impressed with the line up of bulls representing the breed.
The grand champion stood out as a sire of the future.
“In looking for balance and everything with it, this bull’s got performance, and so sound in every way that he’s going to give you the next generation that you can do so much with, without running into any trouble whatsoever,” Mr Greenup said.
Three broad ribbons were gained by a team of six bulls from the Kamilaroi stud of Calrossy Anglican School, Tamworth, including Division 1 champion and reserve, both junior section class winners and the reserve champion of Division 3.
