The annual Geurie Picnic Races were once again a fantastic family day out with sack and three legged races as well as egg tossing to keep the little kids as well as a few of the bigger kids entertained between races for the day.

The traditional raceday fashions on the field, as usual were well supported with the best dressed junior prizes awarded to Marnie Milner from Geurie and Ryan Eade from Dubbo with local girl Maddi Jones named the best dressed teen.
Josie Anderson from Cobar was the judges pick for having the best headwear on course while Karlie De Kaste from Geurie and Anna McLeish from Orange were named the best dressed in the classic and contemporary ladies categories respectively. Not to be out shone by the ladies Simon McGrath from Geurie and Stuart Astley from Dubbo took home the prizes for the best dressed junior and senior stallions.
