COMMERCIAL and stud producers will have the opportunity to purchase some of the Limousin breed’s best genetics next month, with the country’s top studs on show at the 2018 Limousin National Show and Sale on May 3 and 4 at the Wodonga Exhibition Centre.
Thirty two studs from four states – NSW, Victoria, South Australia and Western Australia – will exhibit and offer for sale 27 senior led bulls, 28 junior led bulls, 14 senior led females, 44 junior led females and 14 genetic lots.

The show will begin at 10.30am on Thursday, May 3 and the sale starts at 12pm on Friday, May 4, with the helmsman auction of genetic lots to be held over both days.
Adelong seedstock producer Donna Robson, Flemington Limousins, is this year’s national show judge, while Kate Loudon, Dubbo, is the associate judge. The 2017 sale achieved a high of $28,000 for Flemington Longyard L36, who was the grand champion bull at the show, and bought by Mr Hedger.
Last year’s national show supreme exhibit, Birubi Lady Lavender L9 and her bull calf, was one of two females to reach $16,000, along with Summit Magic Prize L45, who had won junior champion female in the show.
