ORANGE trainer Lee Van Den Bos and Gulgong-based jockey Jake Pracey-Holmes joined forces to win this year’s Soldier’s Saddle at the Bathurst Anzac Day meeting with Beau Hoffa.
The five-year-old chestnut gelding led from start to finish in the Bathurst RSL Soldier’s Saddle over 1400 metres with the Stephen Hill, Kembla Grange trained Brother In Arms second and Mad For Art from the Warwick Farm, Bjorn Baker stable a close third.
Emma Wells, from Young, was named this year’s best dressed classic lady with close friend, Renee Lyzun, also from Young, the runner up.
Local Annabelle Townsend was the judge’s choice for the best dressed contemporary lady while Emma Burge, from Narromine, was named the runner up.
Brock Cross, from Black Heath, took home the prizes for the best classically dressed gent on the day.
