Divided communities struggle with wind projects

These people at Hanging Rock gathered in support of wind farm developers' right to lodge an application to develop. One side of the ridge they stand on feeds the Peel River, the other the Barnard River and ultimately the Manning River. They're unhappy an anti-wind group has stepped into the debate about the project with such vengeance.

WIND energy projects are dividing communities across the state, and nowhere is that more obvious than in the small villages of Hanging Rock and Nundle.
