The Londonderry siblings will have four head on offer – two bulls and two females – under their Loaderry and Heart & Spade studs.
It’s the first time either of them are selling at the national sale, but both are previous buyers.
Mr Adams got involved in the Simmental breed after showing for Stuart Moeck from Valley Creek Simmentals, Bowral.
“I ended up buying a cow from Stuart a couple of months later, and now I’ve got about 20 breeders,” the 19-year-old said.
Mr Adams has sourced genetics from Valley Creek, Wormbete, BST Tullatoola, and Woonalee Simmental studs.
“I’ve always been interested in cattle – they’re a big part of our family's life,” he said.
“Dad’s got a Limousin-based commercial operation but we're convincing him to use a few bulls here and there.”
Mr Adams will offer for sale Loaderry Murphy, a 24-month-old son of Champs Bravo and Woonallee Kathie B11, and 20-month-old heifer Loaderry Macy, by Wormbete Hopkins from Wormbete Freda H40.
Macy has show potential and is pregnancy-tested-in-calf to one of the stud’s best bulls, Tullatoola Top Gun L24.
Miss Adams will offer for sale 14-month-old Heart & Spade Now Yours, by Wormbete Hopkins from Mala-Daki Poppy J616 who was the junior champion bull at this year’s Sydney Royal Easter Show, as well as Heart & Spade Never Seen, a 14-month-old unjoined heifer by Loaderry Ken from Tullatoola Glory Roads Red Stubby J28.
Miss Adams, 24, established her stud about four years ago, and now has 25 breeders in her stud herd.
These two lots are the first Heart & Spade cattle to be offered.
“I got into them because I wanted to start showing cattle, and Luke was already in the breed,” she said.
“We do a fair bit of travel with showing our cattle.
“I showed at Melbourne last year with one of the first cows I bought, Savanah Fancy, and got supreme exhibit with her.”
