CURLEW: Bernie and Elise Kealy are producers of fine wool Merinos, suitable for Western Victoria, where most of their clients come from. They had a selection of July and August 2017-drop rams, to be sold this year, on display.

CLOVEN HILLS: Chris Dorahy, with children Harry, 11, Rupert, 8 and Bridie, 5, assistant Sean Sullivan and Papua New Guinea exchange student Andrew Airi.

CLOVEN HILLS: A selection of the Cloven Hills Composite rams, which were displayed on the Nareen property, as part of Sheep Week.

KURRA WIRRA: A selection of Kurra Wirra Merinos' November on-property sale rams were displayed by brothers Anthony and Simon Close. They also displayed the pen of five rams, which will be available at this year's Sheepvention.

KURRA WIRRA: Culla Merino stud Kurra Wirra records all wool traits, among its Australian Sheep Breeding Values, to give a comprehensive picture of its dual purposes Merinos.

WARADGERY: Tim and Richie Johnston, Waradgery, Brit Brit, breed Coopworth sheep, seen as having a strong commercial focus, in a self-replacing flock. They displayed both rams and ewes, during Sheep Week.

WARADGERY: The Brit Brit Coopworth and South Suffolk stud had a strong display of ewes and rams, for this year's Sheep Week. Animals on display will be offered at the fourth annual Coopworth stud sale.

NOREMAC: Dean Cameron, Noremac White Suffolks and Suffolks, Englefield, had three pens of animals to show potential clients who came to Sheep Week. 

NOREMAC: Dean Cameron, Noremac White Suffolks and Suffolks, Englefield, started his stud seven years ago. He currently runs 300 White Suffolk and 140 Suffolk stud ewes.

ULOOLOO: Elders district wool manager Tegan Falkner inspects a Dohne fleece with Greg Hall, Ulooloo stud, Hallett, at the Penola Dohne display, SA.

KOONIK: Fiona Cameron, Koonik Dohne stud, Goroke, had a selection of her team for next month's Australian Sheep & Wool Show on display at Penola, SA, as well the stud's 2017 grand champion Dohne ram from Bendigo. Koonik will offer about 80 Dohnes at its annual sale on October 5.

KIRANDA: Focus Genetics general manager Kate Brabin with sheep specialist Hannah Anderson and Highlander client Chris Klose, Conmurra, SA. The trio were looking over some mixed-aged Highlander ewes, joined in February, which scanned at 178 per cent.

KIRANDA: 10 month-old Focus Prime Graduate stud rams on display at Kiranda's field day at Penola, SA. The operation will have 200 Highlander and Focus Prime rams for sale on October 9 and 10.

PENOLA DOHNE DISPLAY: Don Mills, Kardinia stud, Corowa, NSW, John Nadin, Macquarie stud, Warren, NSW,  Murray Rogerson, Stirling stud, Glenthompson, Greg Hall, Ulooloo, Hallett, SA, and at front Fiona Cameron, Koonik stud, Goroke and Joy and Allen Kelly, Glen Holme stud, Manoora, SA.

GLEN HOLME: Joy and Allen Kelly, Manoora, SA, showcased a few rams they are exhibiting at the Australian Sheep & Wool Show, Bendigo, next month, as well as four of the stud's ewe hoggets. The stud will offer 90 Dohne rams and 150 Dohne ewe hoggets at its annual on-property sale on September 20.

STIRLING: Murray Rogerson, Stirling Dohne stud, Glenthompson, had four stud ewes and two stud rams on display at the Penola Dohne field day. His annual sale will be held on November 8.

KARDINIA: Stud breeder Don Mills, Kardinia stud, Corowa, NSW, displayed two rising 14 year-old ewes to show the longevity of the Dohne breed. The full sisters have had more than 50 lambs between them and are still producing good fleeces.

MACQUARIE: John Nadin, Macquarie Dohne stud, Warren, NSW, travelled down to Penola, SA, for the breed's stud display. Visitors were able to inspect these one year-old rams for their on-property sale on September 24. They will also offer rams in the Dohne Invitation Sale at Ballarat, on November 2. Mr Nadin says Dohnes work well in self-replacing flocks for their dual incomes, or infused into composite flocks looking to lower the micron of their wool clip without losing growth and carcase traits. 

WARRAWINDI: Jordan, David and Mason Galpin, Penola, SA, had four breeds on display, Poll Dorsets, Suffolk, Border Leicester and East Friesian-Border Leicesters, including a cross section of the rams to be offered at their on-property sale in October.

WARRAWINDI: These rams will be shown at the Royal Adelaide Show in September.

ALLAYE: Alan Donovan, Tyrendarra, with working pure-bred young rams at his Allaye Australian White flock.

BRUAN: David Gordon, Condah, with a selection of ram lambs from his Bruan Poll Dorset stud.

NEDELLE: Ned Nagorka, Hawkesdale, with Will Elliott, Byaduk, Graeme Denhert, Ballan, and Keegan Gibbs, Oregan, USA, and young rams from his Nedelle Southdown stud.

WARATAH: Debbie and Steve Milne, Branxholme, with ram clients John and Adam Forsyth, Cavendish, inspecting young flock rams from their Waratah White Suffolk stud.

YENDORA: Caleb and Sara Morgan, Macarthur, sold a young ram lamb recently born at their Yendra White Suffolk stud.
