For a number of years prior to 2016, Glenleigh Pastoral Eugowra did a fair bit of research on the best solution to their headache of feeding out up to 280 square bales of hay and silage per week, tying up valuable labour and the added problem of having a large spread out acreage involving some travel from stack/pit to paddock.

After travelling 900km to The Sisters, Victoria, Noel Pengilly had a look at a tractor-towed eight bale Sinch Bale Feeder in action.
Mr Pengilly came up with the savvy idea whereby he would purchase a tray truck fitted with cab control hydraulics, build a purpose built detachable platform, then Sinch Bale Feeders travelled the 900km to install a kit.
“It’s a wonderful machine that involves only one person and nobody on the back to get injured,” Mr Pengilly said.
“We were looking to save time and manpower with safety in mind - six men were involved before and now it’s only one.”
The Pengilly families oversee a highly progressive mixed irrigation farming enterprise involving mainly sheep, cropping and some beef.
Since the invention and commercialisation of this product, it has been sold into most states including NSW, VIC, SA and WA.
