Some 79 competitors from NSW, Victoria, Queensland, and Western Australia took part in the program that hosted a range of educational sessions including public speaking, marketing, halter making, cattle assessment, tattooing, tagging and clipping and fitting.
Participants also were involved in the 2018 Pickles Auctions Charolais National Showcase on July 13.
The program concluded with competitions in junior judging, paraders, marketing and herdsperson.
Herdsperson was judged by Greg and Leonie Ball, “Grenell”, Singleton. Champions were as follows:
- Grand champion: Amy Whitechurch
- Pee wee champion: Jack Robson
- Reserve pee wee champion: Miley O’Brien
- Junior champion: Tia Beaumont
- Reserve junior champion: Josephine Green
- Intermediate champion: Olivia Jury
- Reserve intermediate champion: Chloe Kemph
- Senior champion: Amy Whitechurch
- Reserve senior champion: Heidi Nicholls
Paraders was judged by James McWilliam, Kanimbla Livestock, Holbrook. Champions were as follows:
- Grand champion: Logan Evans
- Pee wee champion: Jack Robson
- Reserve pee wee champion: Miley O’Brien
- Junior champion: Logan Evans
- Reserve junior champion: Josh Evans
- Intermediate champion: Skye Titmarsh
- Reserve intermediate champion: Olivia Jury
- Senior champion: Joshua Fenech
- Reserve senior champion: Heidi Nicholls
Junior Judging champions were:
- Grand champion: Erica Bayliss
- Pee wee champion: Sharnie Franco
- Reserve pee wee champion: Elle Beaumont
- Junior champion: Matilda Salter
- Reserve junior champion: Josie Galagher
- Intermediate champion: Charlie Salter
- Reserve intermediate champion: Bryony Allen
- Senior champion: Erica Bayliss
- Reserve senior champion: Sarah Nesbitt
Intermediate and senior divisions were judged on marketing through an assignment they were given. Results were:
- First place intermediate marketing: Josh Alexander
- Second place intermediate marketing: Benn Reid
- First place senior marketing: Nathan Hanson
- Second place senior marketing: Sarah Nesbitt
Pee wee and junior divisions encouragement award winners:
