THE harsh Australian climate can have a devastating impact on the equipment we use to maintain our outdoor occupations and lifestyles.
Enmach Industries has used polyethylene in a new smart storage range of poly silos designed to meet storage needs ranging from one tonne to 46t.
“Reinventing products usually made of materials such as steel, aluminium and fiberglass extends the life of those everyday items,” said a company spokesman.
“Enmach Industries’ poly products are lighter, have one of the world’s best UV protection ratings, resist rust and have compounded colour that won’t fade or scratch off.
“Ultimately, Enmach Industries has created the poly advantage – unbeatable durability.”
Enmach Industries’ Innovative Poly Silos’ have revolutionised feed, grain and fertiliser storage, the spokesman said.
“Sweating is greatly reduced or removed as the insulation properties of polyethylene keeps your feed cooler resulting in reduced incidence of sweating,” he said.
“All silos heat up during the day and then on nightfall the outer steel skin of a steel silo cools rapidly.
“The feed stored inside retains a high temperature and causes condensation or sweating to form on the interior of the roof of the silo.
“Poly silos are thicker than steel, 10 to 30 millimetres thick to be exact, and this thickness helps to keep your feed cooler during the day and then on nightfall, the temperature change is more gradual resulting in a lower dissipation of stored heat and less or no incidence of sweating.”
Another issue with sweating is rust, and the spokesman said traditional steel silos were susceptible to rust.
“The Poly Multi Silo gives you peace of mind by removing the threat of degeneration through rusting,” the spokesman said.
“The poly silo bin sits in a galvanised steel frame with a stainless steel knife gate at the base of the silo and is delivered fully assembled.
“Any bolts through the silo wall are all stainless steel to further enhance our no corrosion claim.”
Enmach Industries offers a 10-year warranty on its Poly Silos.
“Where else do you get a warranty like that on a silo?,” spokesman said.
Another feature of the Poly Silo range is the ability to expand the silo in the future by simply having rings added, allowing farmers to increase silo storage to meet growing needs.
“The Poly Multi Silo’s incredible durability and innovative expansion capabilities offer flexible and long lasting storage solutions for all types of industries and products,” the spokesman said.
“Enmach Industries has a range of storage options available.
“There is the 1.75 cubic metre Stakka Bin that can easily store up to 1.3 tonne of feed or fertiliser at the point of use, the 4.2m3 Multi Feeder which is a 3.5 ton silo coupled with a 1800mm diameter round trough and an all-weather shield, perfect for supplement feeding on the land, the Poly-Multi Silo system which includes the 1800-millimetre diameter round silos which hold from three tonnes to 10.5t, the 2700mm diameter round silos which hold from five tonne to 25t, and the 3400mm diameter silos which holds from 28t and 46t, all in unbeatable Poly, made to last.”
Another great feature of the Poly Silos is the ability to configure the silos to store liquid. The flagship of the range is the 35000 litre Liquid Storage silo.
This silo will hold up to 50 ton of liquid supplement, great for feeding cattle in the dry times.
Other products offered by Enmach Industries include a range of water troughs, rain water tanks from 1000 litres to 29,500L, hay racks and many other Poly items.
