Fairfax Rural Events, group manager, Kate Nugent said when times were tough it was even more important to focus on and learn about new technology.
“Farmers across the country are faced with the prospect of having to produce more with less and often this means discovering new ag-technology and new products,” she said.
“The connections they make at Commonwealth Bank AgQuip go a long way in giving them this exposure.”
AgQuip will host a number of new product launches and demonstrations, ensuring the machinery and technology enthusiast will be well occupied between steak sandwiches.
New harvest machines on display will include the the Massey Ferguson WR9800 series windrowers, which feature higher horsepower and throughput than the previous models.
The new Claas Convio and Convio Flex draper front will be launched, aimed at reducing harvest loss it can be seen at the Claas Harvest Centre site.
New spray technology will also feature over the field days, including the launch of the new R4060 John Deere sprayer, featuring a 6000 litre tank, along with some new nozzle technology from Hardi.
While if historical machines are more your speed, the Peel Valley Machinery site will be themed 100 Years of John Deere Tractors, with a display including an array of models, from vintage to current day, including a Model D, Model 70, Model 730, 8345R and a restored Model E engine.
