Fairfax Media is now approaching the sixth of its eight forums, with Yass the next town on the itinerary.
The forums have focused on identifying options and ideas that might help overcome the many challenges for rural communities.
Groups such as Regional Australia Institute, Regional Development Australia and the NSW Department of Planning and Environment (also a sponsor) have been generous in sharing their research and understanding, as well as using the forums to hear directly from these communities what the challenges are on the ground.
RAI’s chief executive officer, Jack Archer, will be among the panel at our Yass forum, to be held on September 6, from 5.30pm at the Yass Soldiers Club.
Entry is free and the event is open to the whole community, and surrounding towns.
