The Champion Pork title went to Diamond Springs Pastoral.
Champion Beef was awarded to Manning Valley Naturally.
This year’s Champion Lamb and The Dick Stone Perpetual Branded Meat Champion Trophy winner was Victoria’s Woodward Foods Australia for its Woodward Foods Export Lamb (USA).
The Smallgoods and Charcuterie competition saw an increase in quality this year.
Interesting new sausage flavours impressed the judges, however a classic still remains.
Andrews Meat Industries claimed Champion Traditional Sausage.
Champion Bacon was taken out by Bertocchi for its Smoked Wide Middle Bacon and Sunshine Meats Double Smoked Boneless Ham claimed Champion Ham.
Zammit Ham and Bacon Curers was the Champion Smallgoods and Charcuterie Speciality Product for 2018.
Sunshine Meats was awarded Champion Poultry Product for its Nitrite Free Butterfly Duck.
Barossa Fine Foods enjoyed a successful competition, claiming Champion Cooked Smallgoods Product, Champion Smallgoods Product, and Champion Smallgoods and Charcuterie Gourmet Product.
