MELBOURNE Cup Day at the Dubbo Turf Club was the place to be for fashionistas with the finale of the inaugural Whitneys Jewellers and Landmark Harcourts Fashion Series the feature attraction of the day.
Points were accumulated over the series by attending fashions events at the races in Dubbo, Narromine, Coonamble and Bourke over the last eight months with the top 20 ladies and the top 10 men who have competed in the series vying for major prizes, including a $6,000 ring handcrafted ring from Whitneys Jewellers for the ladies and a $500 gift voucher to Blowes Menswear donated by Landmark Harcourts for the men.
Congratulations went to Josie Anderson, from “Omarh Downs”, Cobar, and Lachlan Cusack, from Dubbo, who were both thrilled to be selected by the judges, Gina Brown and Kristen Smith.
Sara Jackson from Bourke and Kirsty Colliver from Dubbo along with Christopher Budden and Shelvin Narayan both from Dubbo were all named the runners-up in the fashion series.
Prizes were also given out to Carmen Gain from Geurie for having the best millinery and clutch while Georgina Townsend, from “Willow Vale”, Emu Plains, was the judges pick for the best shoes on the day.
Kirsty Colliver from Dubbo was also acknowledged with a gift as the overall points winner for the inaugural series.
