Police have identified the body of teenage boy found dead by the side of the road near Wantabadgery early this morning (Wednesday).
Riverina Police command said inquiries are continuing into the death of a teenage boy whose body was found on a road east of Wagga Wagga.
“Emergency services were called to River Road, Wantabadgery, about 40km east of Wagga Wagga, at 1.30am today (Wednesday 19 December 2018), after a passing motorist saw a body on the road,” Police said.
“The driver stopped to render assistance and discovered it was the body of a teenage boy.
“He has now been identified as a 15-year-old boy from Wantabadgery.
“Detectives from Riverina Police District and officers from the Crash Investigation Unit are investigating the circumstances of the boy’s death.
