Workshops focus on making more profit from livestock

The locations include Bombala, Goulburn, Bathurst, Scone, Uralla, Inverell, Coonabarabran, Dubbo, Forbes and Wagga.

Guest speakers for the event include farm consultants, Greg Meaker (Bathurst and Scone) and Alistair Rayner of RaynerAg (the other eight venues).   

Attendees will also hear from representatives from Alltech Lienerts and Advantage Feeders.

“Our speakers will be focused primarily on ways to increase profit per hectare,” managing director, Advantage Feeders, Gerard Roney said.

“There will also be a focus on the drought and subsequent quality of dry pastures and stubble and how to maximise production with these resources.  

“With the current sale prices, there is a great opportunity to complementary feed.

“Having engaging guest speakers of such high calibre will further guarantee that attendees get a lot out of their half day investment.”

Advantage Feeders will focus on maximising pasture efficiency and feed conversion from dry or green pastures.  

The presentation will show how to optimise supplement use by feeding little and often.  

They will share the secrets behind creep feeding and the reasons why early rumen development gives more production kg/Ha.

Farmers will also be given examples of the range of applications the feeders can be used in so they can get the most out of their past or future investments.

The sessions will be held from 8.30am to 12:30pm.

All sessions will include morning tea and lunch.

A $20 donation is payable on the day with all money received donated to the CWA for drought relief aid.

On display will be Advantage Feeder’s range of heavy duty feeders and the Alltech Lienert range of feeds.
